AFTER THE WEDDING, SAYING THANK YOU!

After the wedding, saying thank you!

Your big day has come and gone and now you’ve come back to settle into your new home, new routines and new experiences. But before you go any further, there’s the matter of sending out the Thank You notes to your guest!

A Thank You note is a way of expressing how appreciative you both are and it’s a nice final touch that will leave your friends and family with a smile on their face. Unless of course, you’ve already taken the time to include some words of gratitude in your wedding program. If not, then here’s a few tips that will help you navigate thru the process of saying Thank You to your guest for their love and support on your big day!

How long should my Thank You note be? Some couples may choose to keep it short and sweet. Others may opt to write a few paragraphs or fill an entire page. The length of your thank you note is entirely up to you.

You can show your gratitude in as little as one or two sentences. If you want to go the easy route, make it a generalized thank you and direct it to all of your guests. Your note can be as simple as; “Thank you to all of our friends and family for sharing our special day with us!” You can make it more personal as well.

If you had guest that traveled from afar, you may want to add a line expressing your gratitude to those who traveled so far to be at your celebration Regardless of what you write, I’m pretty sure your guest will enjoy receiving a note from the newlyweds.

Just remember, if you decide to thank some people in particular, make sure you don’t leave anyone out! The Thank You note is a way to show your appreciation, and the last thing you want is for it to hurt someone’s feelings.

When it comes to the Thank You notes’ wording, don’t drive yourself crazy. Just be sincere, express your gratitude, and the note will speak volumes on behalf of the two of you!
