Frequently Asked Questions

If there’s a question that’s not below, please contact us at djwhoevents@gmail.com or call us at +1 (718) 292-1402

If I book you as our DJ, what do I have to do?

Not too much. We want the music to be the fun part of the event. We can do the music from a freeform format to a carefully choreographed play list you supply. Generally, we like to meet with our clients to get a better idea of their taste. We do require that you sign a contract once you book our services. We will not commit to your event without a signed contract.

What types of music do you play?

There are too many songs to list on this site. Plus we add new songs every week. We play all types of Christian Music and clean fun party music as well. (All styles of Christian music) We can tailor the sets to your wishes or we can create a pleasant mix of styles for your event.

Are all DJ's the same?

To say that DJ’s are all alike is to say that people are all alike. One can never say that recorded music levels the playing field. The personalities on the microphone and professional business demeanor can vary as much as a singer’s voice.

Why should we get a DJ and not a live band?

Live bands tend to be pricier than a DJ service. There are more people involved, thus more money needs to be made. Being live performers, they need to take breaks. Bands tend to play sets of 45 minutes and break for 15 minutes. In a four hour event, that’s getting three hours of music for a four hour payment. Average cost for a live band is much higher than a DJ.

What are your fees?

The big question. There really is no set answer. It depends on the occasion, the amount of hours, and the location of the event. All events are based on a three hour minimum.

When do I have to pay?

You will be required to pay a 50% deposit on signing of contract and the remainder at the beginning of the event in order to avoid confusion at the end of the event. Overtime (any playing time not specified in contract after the original hours contracted) is to be paid immediately after the service unless special arrangements are made.

How soon should I book my event?

The sooner the better. We cannot guarantee the date for you until you come into the office and sign a contract with us. However, if you need a DJ at the last minute, check with us.

What happens if I need to cancel?

If you need to cancel, you should do so as quickly and as soon as you are aware of the cancellation. All deposits are retained as your booking could have been another booking. Fees for a cancelled event can be used as credit towards a rescheduled date, providing that date is available.

Are you insured?

Yes, we are fully insured.
