He will never leave you
I would like to share a bible verse that I’m pretty sure many of us are familiar with. At times in our walk we need to be reminded that when negative stuff happens, we sometimes need to pause for a moment and reflect on the lesson. The danger sometimes is when we pause and don’t move forward after the experience. God had to remind Joshua that Moses was dead and it was now his turn to move in faith and take the Promise Land …
Joshua 1:5-7 (NIV) 5 No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. 6 Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them. 7 “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.
God reminded Joshua that it wasn’t going to be easy but strength was to be found in God’s presence. The more God is the ruler of your life, the more you will see him opening doors that no man can shut. You will encounter people who will try to keep you from reaching the Promised Land; you will encounter people you will try to make your life impossible, you will encounter people who will come against you, you will encounter people who are going to be jealous of you, you will encounter people who will want to remind you of your past! But God is reminding you today that your success, your victory will come when you focus and listen and follow God! Focus on God, not people! Its time to move forward and possess the blessing God has in store for each of us! It’s time you moved! The choice is yours! Give up, give in or give it all you’ve got!
