Realize Your Value
Have you ever told someone, “When I’m no longer around, you’ll realize my value and worth.” You’ve probably said that because you felt that certain people took you for granted while they had you. That conclusion on your part is probably correct. Some people will and do take us for granted. I want to encourage you today and remind you that you and I will overcome whatever hurtle you are facing in this season, despite facing situations and people who have taken you for granted.
It’s a bit unsettling when you’ve given your all and you find yourself with lots of questions and confusion. You’ve tried to make sense of it, looked at it from all possible scenarios and angles and are still left befuddled. But know this today, it is more important that you know that you’re more valuable than anyone else who may come into your life! If they choose to leave, let them go!
People do not determine your worth and can’t override God’s plan for your life. Know that the power people have over you is the one you give them. It’s time you take ownership back and start to believe in your self. You have a great life in front of you and sometimes you have to leave your past as well some people where they belong.
Know and recognize that everyone isn’t going to appreciate you the way you appreciate them or value you like you value them. When you appreciate someone more and someone appreciates you less, don’t think it has anything to do with you. It’s there own level of understanding and conception of value, eventually they’ll realize it someday. I pray you would have moved on by then! I pray that by then you would have defined your worth and have stopped listening to the wrong people and have stopped allowing them to define your worth for you.
Have you thought that maybe, just maybe it was necessary because you were too valuable to stay? Rely on God during your process, yes it’s easier said than done, but it is possible. Your process is necessary. If you need to cry, then do so. Stop crying when you are done, not because someone tells you to stop. Mourn the loss if you have too, but when you surrender it, wipe your tears and get up and get moving. Never ignore someone who is worthy! Never ignore yourself for the sake of someone who ignores you. I pray this encourages you today. Please feel free to share with others.
