Forget the past!
Blessings everyone, I’ve recently come to the conclusion that some people come into our lives for a reason and a season. Sometimes, its difficult to let go because we’ve become comfortable in certain situations. There are things inside of us that must be dealt with before we can move ahead. Every experience we’ve had until this present moment has helped shape who we are, that, even includes our mistakes. (Let’s not just concentrate on the mistakes of others) The things that have happened to you, good and bad, are key in determining how you’ll act and react for the rest of your life. Paul in Philippians writes “forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead”. If the Apostle had not overcome his past he would not have the opportunity to write those letters we today read! (yeah, the Saul who persecuted Christians)
What am I saying today? Though we are not where we probably should be, I am working on doing this one thing, forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead. The only power the past has over you is the one you give it.
I am a product of God’s forgiveness, so don’t judge me on my past. You are a product of God’s forgiveness, so don’t let anyone else judge you or remind you of your past. Those are the ones you have to let go! Remember, no matter what we do or say sometimes, even when we’ve admitted our wrongs, some people will talk about us anyways! Keep it moving family!
I pray this encourages you today!
